Limmu Kossa is a 356-acre estate in the Jimma zone of Ethiopia owned by Giday Behre. The farm was established in 2000 and now employs 500 people full-time, year-round. In the towns near Limmu Kossa, Giday is known as "Abba Ollie", which means "one who uplifts" in the local language. The name is fitting - Giday invests significant portions of Limmu Kossa’s profit into building schools and roads for the village, providing health care access and subsidized goods and services to workers, and teaching farmers better practices and techniques in order to increase quality and receive higher premiums.
The result of Giday’s rigorous quality standards and uncompromising professionalism is coffee that stands out in a country where excellent coffee abounds. The farm cultivates its heirloom varietals to be as close to their wild grown counterparts as they can, made possible by exceptional agro-forestry practices. Cherries are processed with two on-site environmentally-friendly wet mills and one eco-mill equipped for both wet and dry processing. This coffee will surprise you with its incredible fruitiness, with notes of lemon, red apple, and stone fruit, as well as hints of jasmine honeysuckle and lemongrass. HOW LONG WILL MY COFFEE STAY FRESH?
Like any perishable food product, your coffee beans will lose their flavor over time. To make sure you get the most out of your coffee beans, we roast and package each week so that they arrive at your door at peak freshness. Each of our bags is hand stamped with the date your coffee beans were roasted so you can brew with confidence. We recommend consuming your coffee beans within four to six weeks of opening to really get the most out of your coffee.

HOW DO I UPDATE MY COFFEE SUBSCRIPTION?
Updating your existing coffee subscription couldn't be easier. Scroll to the footer menu at the bottom is this page and under "Resources" select "Subscription Login".
