Experience the incredible complexity and vibrancy of our Black Honey single origin coffee, sourced from the remote and luscious landscapes of Law Wu village in northern Thailand. At an altitude of 1,700 MASL, this coffee is grown using the Catimor varietal and processed using the honey method, resulting in a bright, smooth, fruit-forward cup.
This year’s harvest comes from five remote villages that once abandoned coffee due to market instability. Thanks to consistent partnerships, farmers like Liki and Teerapop have revived their crops and are building a sustainable future for their families and communities. With support from agricultural programs, they’ve shifted from intensive corn farming to growing specialty coffee under shaded canopies — intercropping with plums, peppers, and avocados.
The Black Honey process involves depulping the cherries and drying them with mucilage intact. This method preserves sweetness and depth, enhancing the coffee’s rich body and vivid acidity. The result is a lively cup with a crisp raspberry finish and layered notes of vanilla bean and buttery pastry.
What makes this coffee special: Liki and Teerapop’s pride is rooted in the soil — and in the legacy they’re cultivating. After two decades of coffee farming, they continue to experiment with new varietals, including grafting Geisha onto Catimor roots. Harvesting on steep slopes remains a challenge, but they find joy knowing their coffee has a home and purpose across the globe.
“Coffee works for us,” they shared. “With corn, we were working endlessly. Now, we have time, pride, and possibility.”
This is more than just a cup of coffee — it’s the story of revival, resilience, and relationship. Taste the history and hope of Law Wu in every sip.
